Mark Uhlmann E36 DSP : Mark's beautiful E36 BMW was originally prepped for SCCA's DSP class, with the 2.8L BMW inline six. He ran the car in Canadian autocross series, hill climbs, and with the SCCA. The flares and 18x10" D-Force wheels make the car look incredibly good, and its equipped with a full AST 4200 and Vorshlag camber plate suspension. Later he added an LS1 motor and gutted the car for more extreme hillclimb use.

Mark Williams BMW 1M : Mark Williams was our first tester for the new Vorshlag BMW 1M Camber plate + OEM style spring perch option, which we installed at Vorshlag on July 6, 2012. We measured the max camber on the car before at -1.7° and the front tires were destroyed from a track event. With our plates it could get -2.8° camber, and with a lowered ride height that number gets even better.

Mike Simanyi's '95 BMW M3, SMod Prepped : Mike's 1995 M3 autocross car used to be built for STU class racing but in 2009 he switched to Street Modified class prep. He took a simple approach and built the car to be light, have a good suspension, use a reasonable tire width, and a high revving naturally aspirated motor. The car weighs 2600 pounds, has a built 3.0L motor with 300 whp, AST 5200s, Vorshlag camber plates, and Mason shock tower brace. Tires are 285/30/18 Hoosiers on 18x10" wheels with custom steel wheel flares. Mike took the car to a dominant win at the 2009 SCCA Solo Championship in SMod, and the car also won SML handily!

Paul Magyar's 2011 Mustang GT - track toy/street car : Paul is a friend of Vorshlag and took a ride in our 2011 Mustang GT... and had to get his own. He bought his 2011 in January of 2011 and already has begun competing in NASA TTB class on track as well as SCCA STU class for autocrossing. This Kona Blue car has the 400A leather interior, optional SAT/NAV system, HID headlights, and of course the Brembo brake package. He managed to get a car with the "base GT trim package" rear wing so he won't have to take TT class points for that, but will get dinged +2 for the front brakes. Stay tuned!

Vorshlag E36 M3 - STU prepped : 1997 BMW M3 first owned by Hanchey, and now Fair, used by Vorshlag as an E36 test mule for many new E36 products including: MotorForce then Vorshlag camber plates, D-Force wheels in 17x9, 18x9 and 18x10, AST shocks in 4100, 4200 and now 4300 flavors, APR GT-II wing, all of our wheel stud sizes, RTABs, Mason end links and strut braces - pretty much everything we make and sell. This car has been campaigned in STU class by the Vorshlag team at the SCCA Solo Nationals in 2004 (STU was running with BSP), 2005, 2006 and 2007.

Joe Costa's 125K Mile Camber Plates : This customer has put his Vorshlag E36 camber plates through the wringer! 100,000 street miles (edit: now he has exceed 125,000 miles on the Vorshlag plates!) and still going strong! Here's his comments: "I'd like to let you guys know that I just crossed the 100k mile mark with my Vorshlag camber plates and they're still tight and rattle & squeak free! They've outlasted 2 sets of wheel bearings, a set of control arms and a LOT of track and canyon driving (And a daily commute!) Congratulations on making such a great product!"

Jeff W's 3rd Gen Camaro "CMC" class race car : Pictures of AST tester Jeff W's CMC classed third generation Camaro race car. This car is campaigned in the NASA "Camaro Mustang Challenge" or CMC road racing class. Jeff is testing the first AST shocks for CMC class and is clobbering the competition ever since he got the new suspension. We have more testing in store with Jeff and we know there is even more speed to be found in this car. The CMC field is taking notice in a bog way since Jeff's 3rd gen is usually beating all of CMC, CMC2, AI and even most or all of the AIX cars!

Kent K's 2006 Mustang GT / ESP Prepped : Kent is an old racing buddy of the Vorshlag crew and volunteered to help us develop AST shocks/struts for the S197 Mustang chassis. This car has prototype AST 4100/4200 shocks, Vorshlag camber plates, and Hyperco springs. Kent runs National level events and was 2nd fastest on day 1 of the 2008 SCCA Solo Nats in FStock. His GT is being prepped for the STU autocross class (the first serious STU attempt by any Mustang) and if that doesn't work out it will go straight to ESP.

Tim Bergstrom's 2006 Mustang GT (STX -> ESP) : Tim is another S197 tester for us and he's running the following parts he got from us: Vorshlag camber/caster plates, AST 4100s, and Hyperco coilover springs. He has been racing his 2006 GT on Tokico shocks and H&R lowering springs, and the move to AST 4100s and stiffer coilover springs should significantly improve his autocross performance. Tim has been racing in the SCCA "STX" class in 2010 and plans to continue there in 2011. Tim also noted, "As an added bonus the AST's were 10 lbs. lighter each side than the Tokico D- specs, so now the car weighs 3310" pounds. Tim moved his car to ESP and he and his co-driver Britt Dollmeyer placed 11th and 2nd at the 2012 SCCA Solo Nationals.

John K's 2008 STI : This black 2008 STI is a track terror and street driven daily driver, raced in Dallas by John K. He brought his car to Vorshlag for trial fitment of our very first prototype set of 2008 STI ("GR" chassis) camber plates and a set of production AST4100 struts. Everything went on perfectly, and during the course of the install the car was corner weighed, aligned at max/min camber, and test driven before and after. In John's words: "You guys did it... it rides as good as it did stock, with the new suspension. This is the perfect street set-up!" The spring rate was more than doubled and it still rode perfectly. Mission accomplished.

Jeremy's C5 FRC Corvette : The first set of AST4100s ever built are being tested by Dean on his 1999 Corvette "Fixed Roof Coupe". Dean did 2-3 track and/or autocross events per month in the car. The ride improved drastically over the Koni adjustables it had before, but handling improved as well. Dean later sold his car to Jeremy and it is still being used to test out new AST shocks. The car now has AST 5200 inverted double adjustable shocks with remote reservoirs!

Luke's 335i Sedan : Luke tested the first ever set of E90 shocks that AST built, back in 2007. He has been autocrossing his car monthly ever since, as well as daily driving his family in this 4 door sedan. In July the car posted a dominent win in 2 classes at a BMWCCA autocross, all 3600 poudns of it! Soon Vorshlag will put on a set of production camber-caster plates for even more performance improvement.

Aaron Leichty's S2000 : Aaron was one of our first S2000 AST testers in 2008 and he's out breaking records in NASA Time Trial in 2009. Here are some pictures from his first outing at Putnam Park, where he shattered the TTC record by 3 seconds, beat the TTB record by a second, and almost nabbed the TTA record... in a TTC car. Gary Glanger's 2011 Subaru STI : Gary tested Vorshlag's first production GR Subaru front camber plates with the unique Vorshlag CNC upper spring perches, using his OEM struts and OEM springs. We changed the negative camber from -1.7° max in front to a more track-friendly -2.5° camber (with more camber travel possible). Ride height was unaffected with the camber plates + new perches, as shown below.

Brian Joo's E36 M3 LS1 Swap : Brian has a 1997 E36 M3 4 door that had a hurt motor. Instead of paying big bucks to repair it he shipped it to Vorshlag for an LS1 swap! We fixed the S52 motor before pulling it out (which is for sale), and started the LS1 T56 swap in December 2012.
