BMW E36 LS1 - Alpha car : Pictures of the original "Alpha" Vorshlag BMW E36 LS1 project car. This 1993 BMW 318is is Vorshlag's main "shop race car." After a three seasons of autocrossing, track events and Time Trials, the motor was upgraded in late 2008. The new LS1 based 7.0L engine makes 550 hp and is mated to a new Tremec TR-6060 6-spd transmission.

Paul's 1993 Subaru Impreza L - Street Mod/Track build : Pictures of the buildup of Paul M's 1993 Subaru Impreza L... a 2 door verion of the same chassis the WRX/STI was based on. He's starting with the lightest 2 door chassis and adding the later model STI 2.5L turbocharged AWD drivetrain. This is built around the rules for SCCA Street Mod class (auto-x) but will also be used in NASA Time Trials (TTS) and Redline Time Attack events. Starting weight of 2440 pounds is a good start!

EVO X "MR" Transmission Cooling Mod : The "SST" semi-automatic dual clutch transmission in the EVO X "MR" has a tendency to overheat with track use. The fix for this includes: 1) never left foot brake (even the slightest brake application partially disengages the clutch, causing slippage and heat), 2) remove the left side fog light that covers half of the trans cooler, and 3) add a Spal fan to the back of the transmission cooler like we did. We show the fog light removal, fan install and relay/switch wiring below. Do this mod to your MR and get back on track!

The Red Bullet : Terry bought this car in December 2008 for very little money. It didn't start, was dirty, mostly disassembled, but he could see a potential daily driver under all that. It was throughly cleaned up, made to run again, and many little parts were repaired or replaced. During the extensive cleaned many rounds of live ammo were recovered, hence the name "the red bullet". Terry used this 325i 5-spd car for making parts deliveries and other commuter type duties - with a dead stock suspension, stock wheels and tires, stock exhaust. Nice, soft, and quiet. Here's some pictures of the car, before and after the repairs and cleanup.

Tire Trailer : These are pictures from my latest tire trailer and it's extensive modifications. This small utility trailer is going to be towed by our RX-8 and used to transport tools, supplies and wheels/tires to races throughout the country. When completed it will have a weatherproof and lockable tool box, a rear mount for our EZ-Up tent and ramps, a lockable tire rack, and a mount for Vorshlag's digital scales. EDIT: built a 2nd tire rack for Hanchey, too!

Garage Tech: Eletrical Sub-Panel : These pictures are from an upgrade done at a "temporary garage location" to support my shop equipment. I added an electrical sub panel with circuits for additional 120V outlets, florescent lighting, and 220V circuits for my air compressor and MIG welder. The conduit work came out clean, as did all of the wiring. Have been using all of these circuits for months with zero problems.
