On this car we had to remove a set of old studs first. These were installed with red loctite and used for 2-3 years. Removal can be a chore - it might take you an hour. Always use the "double nut" technique to remove any wheel studs - even those with a hex drive end (the hex drive isn't strong enough on any wheel stud to withstand the break-away torque needed to remove the bond of the thread locker).
If you get a stud that's very difficult to remove, the heat from a torch (500°F) applied to the base of the stud for 30 seconds or so should help break down the bond of the thread locker - but this is only rarely needed.
